Alternative Technology Announces Distribution Partnership with SAFLINK Corporation
Biometric Security Solutions Offered to Citrix® Resellers
Denver, Colo., Oct. 7, 2003 - Alternative Technology, Inc., a leading distributor of thin client/server-based computing and security solutions today announced it is partnering with SAFLINK® Corporation (NASDAQ: SFLK), a leading developer of biometric security solutions. Under the terms of the distribution agreement, Alternative Technology will market and resell biometric security solutions to authorized Citrix® resellers.

Alternative Technology will offer the following SAFLINK products under the distribution agreement:
SAFsolution™ Enterprise Edition - a server-based product for Microsoft® Windows® enterprise environments that tightly integrates with Microsoft Active Directory™ and extends the functionality of Microsoft Management Console.
SAFmodule™ for NMAS™ - a secure, easily-managed biometric authentication to Novell® eDirectory™ networks that couples SAFLINK's proven security framework with Novell's Novell Modular Authentication Service (NMAS) security framework.
SAFremote Authenticator™ for Citrix® - a biometric authentication product that enables organizations to secure roaming sessions and remote access to network resources by using biometric authentication within the Citrix® MetaFrame® and nFuse® environments.
SAFaccess - a product that integrates SAFLINK's proven authentication security framework with Computer Associates® eTrust™ Single Sign-On (SSO).
SAFLINK's products eliminate traditional passwords, replacing them with devices that measure human characteristics such as voiceprint, fingerprint, iris pattern and facial contours, all of which are virtually impossible to duplicate. This type of authentication makes it more convenient for end users to access their computer accounts while improving the security of these accounts.
Todd Dewey, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing said the stringent security requirements of today's enterprise customers are creating demand for strong authentication and simplified cost-effective user authentication solutions. "Teaming with Alternative Technology will allow us to better serve Citrix resellers and their customers by ensuring that their mission-critical networks are secure," he said.

SAFLINK will be demonstrating its products at Citrix iForum 2003 (booth #31), October 13-15, in Orlando, Florida. Alternative Technology will also attend iForum, and is currently seeking qualified Citrix resellers focusing on customers in the healthcare, education, government and financial verticals.
