Alternative Technology Signs Distribution Agreement with Vericept Corporation
Partnership Will Offer High-end Security VARs the Ability to Detect and Limit All Forms of Network Abuse and Misuse
Denver, Colo., August 19, 2003 – As part of its proactive stance to build a comprehensive security portfolio, leading technology distributor Alternative Technology today announced an agreement with Vericept Corporation. Under the terms of the agreement, Alternative Technology will distribute VIEW (Vericept Intelligent Early Warning) software solutions in North America, which will be marketed to a broad base of high-end security VARs.
VIEW software solutions are designed to monitor and capture content relating to potential and actual network security breaches and abuses from both external and internal sources. Through its patent-pending linguistic analysis engine, Vericept’s VIEW solutions monitor all TCP/IP activity to enable security professionals to gain visibility into inappropriate activities on the network.
