Alternative Technology Announces Record Sales Revenue for Q3 2002
Denver, CO, October 10, 2002 - Alternative Technology Inc. today announces record sales revenue for the third quarter ended September 30, 2002. Net sales in the third quarter increased 18% versus the prior quarter.
Alternative Technology offers Value Added Resellers a variety of solution-oriented technology hardware and software products including Thin Client/Server, Bandwidth Management, Security, and Wireless. The company experienced strong sales in all product categories during the third quarter, led by the Security Category, which saw dramatic sales increases versus the prior quarter and the comparable period last year. Bandwidth Management and Wireless category sales were also stellar performers during the quarter.
"We had a terrific quarter not only in terms of financial performance and operational efficiency but also in preparing the company for new growth opportunities," commented Alternative Technology President and Chief Operating Officer William Botti. "Our core distribution business experienced strong growth in every category. We also saw increased demand for our Tech-Knowledgy Services - Technical Education, Engineering, and Support Services. During the quarter we also secured Training and Engineering authorizations from SonicWALL, WatchGuard, and RES.
